Summerfest Days are successJuly 7, 2009 (12:00AM)
This past week, Charger Robotics attended Summerfest, the world's largest outdoor music festival, on several occasions. For 3 of the 4 days, Team 537 set up a station in the KidZone for the children to drive FIRST Vex Bots. On all three days, kids were lining up to drive the remote controlled bots, and enjoyed learning about the FRC and Lego League competitions.
Charger Robotics also hosted a full scale FRC demonstration in the SportZone on July 3rd. Teams from all over the area participated in the demonstration, and crowds were lining up to watch the large robots compete. Special thanks to MORE Robotics for bringing their Vex Bots and obstacles for the audience to play with between matches.
For more on the Summerfest project, a link to the Summerfest page will be posted within the next few weeks.
